The 2027 CESSE CEO Meeting will take place at the DeSoto Savannah. CESSE has secured a special discounted rate for a limited number of rooms at the hotel. Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport (SAV) is located just over 10 miles, about a 30-minute drive from The DeSoto Savannah.

  • Taxi: Taxis are available at SAV and the fare to the hotel is approximately $35.
  • Rideshare: Uber and Lyft pickups are available and located on the outer curb of the lower level (north entrance of baggage claim). An Uber/Lyft to the hotel typically costs around $55.
  • Car Rental: SAV offers multiple Rental Car companies. All car rental and return lots are covered and located adjacent to the main terminal building

The CESSE CEO Meeting dress code is business casual, so wear what makes you feel confident and prepared for strategic discussions with fellow STEM society executives. Savannah experiences cold winter temperatures in January, with average highs around 62°F (16°C) and lows around 42°F (4°C).

Meeting room temperatures can vary, so we recommend bringing a warm coat for walking around the city, layering your clothing to adjust to different temperatures, and packing a light sweater or jacket for indoor sessions.
