Senior Specialist, Education
<div><strong>Job Overview</strong><br /> The role of the Senior Specialist, Education is to develop, coordinate, and execute programs for the education and training of microbiologists and other biomedical scientists. This position supports ASM by offering educational resources and leading online series, workshops and conferences (i.e. the Annual Biomedical Research Conference for Minority Students (ABRCMS), ASM Undergraduate Conference for Educators (ASMCUE) and webinars). This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing scientific and professional development content for students and non-students. Requirements <ol> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree required with preference for Master&rsquo;s or other advanced degree in a STEM field</li> <li>Five (5) or more years of experience with a focus on program design and evaluation</li> <li>Experience in recruitment; networking; and marketing</li> <li>Understanding of effective practices in learning communities and working with underrepresented communities</li> <li>Proficiency with technologies and platforms to support education, training, building communities and communications</li> <li>Event planning skills are a plus</li> <li>Experience in associations, nonprofit or scientific organizations a plus</li> </ol>
