Through a mix of direct instruction, breakout groups, and applied activities, this course combines foundational principles with hands-on strategies for real-world challenges.

Director of Business Systems, Council of Landscape Architectural Registration Boards (CLARB)

With over 15 years of experience in associations, Andrea Elkin brings a strong background in communications, event and project management, business systems and association governance. A certified Project Management Professional (PMP), she serves as the Director of Business Systems at the Council of Landscape Architectural Registration Boards (CLARB). In this role, Andrea provides strategic oversight and leadership for CLARB’s Project Management Office, IT business systems, and volunteer management ensuring that operational and technology solutions and project development align with the organization’s strategic priorities. Andrea plays a key role in optimizing business processes, managing enterprise software applications and supporting digital transformation initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and service delivery to stakeholders.  She also oversees CLARB’s nominations and elections process, acting as the staff liaison to the nominating committee, and leads the organization’s leadership development program.

Program Director, American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA)

Stacy Calhoun, MBA, PMP, is the Program Director of Technical Initiatives at the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA), where she has led large-scale content development projects since 2014. In her role, she manages cross-functional project teams composed of volunteer subject matter experts, industry partners, and staff, navigating the full project lifecycle from initiation through closeout in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. With more than fifteen years of project management experience, Stacy brings practical expertise in stakeholder management, volunteer engagement, and building project management infrastructure within nonprofit organizations. She holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from PMI and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Maryland.
