About the Speakers

Bob Moore, MA, MS, FASAE, CAE, Executive Director, American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians & ACOFP Foundation

Bob Moore, MA, MS, FASAE, CAE, is a recognized leader in association management with over 26 years’ experience serving major national and international organizations. Moore is currently the Executive Director of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians and the ACOFP Foundation. Previously, he was the first chief operating officer of the American Dental Hygienists’ Association and the first executive director of the Technology Councils of North America (TECNA). At the Institute of Food Technologists (IFT) Moore was Vice President, Knowledge and Learning. In his positions, Moore is known for being a catalyst of change and growth. A graduate of Illinois State University with a BS in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Moore earned his MA in Organizational Communications from the University of Northern Iowa and a MS in Learning & Organizational Change from Northwestern University with a focus of executive coaching. Moore is also an ASAE Fellow and Diversity Executive Leadership Program (DELP) scholar, Past-Chair of Association Forum and Chair-elect of HR Source.

Dr. Ryan D’Arcy, Co‑Founder, Chief Scientific Officer, HealthTech Connex Co‑Founder, Health and Technology District

Dr. Ryan CN D’Arcy, PlEng, is a neuroscientist and entrepreneur specializing in neuroimaging, neurotechnology, and health technology innovation. He has founded and/or co-founded medical technology innovations and multi-billion dollar health technology innovation clusters. Scientific highlights include: 1) the development and deployment of the global medical device – the NeuroCatch Platform - a portable brain vital sign scanner; 2) the scientific verification of human white matter activation in functional magnetic resonance imaging; 3) the first virtual reality brain surgery simulation to guide successful brain tumour surgery; and 4) the implementation of clinical neuroplasticity protocols to push the limits of recovery from brain injury. Dr. D’Arcy holds distinguished professorships at Simon Fraser University and the University of British Columbia in neuroscience (brain imaging), engineering (neurotechnology), and computer science (artificial intelligence). He has over 300 academic publications and secured more than $100 million in research and innovation funding. Dr. D’Arcy speaks frequently on neuroscience innovation and has received various honors for brain health innovations on the global stage.

Michael Beale is the Client Engagement Manager, Life Sciences at Destination Canada. With a focus on attracting international corporate, incentive, and meetings travel to Canada’s life sciences sector, Michael plays a key role in promoting Canada as a premier destination for innovation-driven events. His background spans business development roles at the Calgary TELUS Convention Centre, Meetings + Conventions Calgary, and Marriott Calgary Downtown. Michael’s strengths lie in relationship development, strategic planning, and brand advocacy, proudly representing Canada on the global stage.
