The Daily Exchange: Books That Have Made an Impact

ACCESSE26 Opening Session Panel SpeakersAt ACCESSE26, we introduced The Daily Exchange, an attendee activation intended to spark conversation and help us learn from one another throughout the week.

The first question was simple:

What book has had a positive impact on you?

The responses reflected the curiosity, creativity, and lifelong learning that define the STEM society community. From leadership and professional development to fiction, history, and childhood favorites, attendees shared the books that have shaped their thinking and inspired their journeys.

We've compiled the full list below. Perhaps you'll discover your next great read.

Leadership, Growth, and Professional Development

  • Grit by Angela Duckworth

Fiction Favorites

Books That Expand Perspective

Childhood Favorites That Still Resonate

Keep the Reading List Growing

One of the best parts of The Daily Exchange was seeing attendees gather around the board, comparing favorites, sharing recommendations, and discovering new books through one another's experiences.

Thank you to everyone who contributed. Together, you've created a reading list that reflects the diverse perspectives, experiences, and interests that make the CESSE community so valuable.

Did one of your favorite books make the list? Or did you find a new title to add to your reading queue?
