(Schaumburg, IL – July 28, 2025) — The Council of Engineering and Scientific Society Executives (CESSE) is excited to announce the launch of its newest Shared Interest Group (SIG), the Content SIG, created to support association professionals in maximizing the impact of content across their organizations.
Scientific, technology, engineering, and mathematics societies produce a wide range of original, high-value content, including technical journals, webinars, continuing education, conference materials, and more. The Content SIG will provide a space for CESSE members to connect across departments and discuss how to strategically manage, repurpose, and monetize a society's content to better serve their missions and audiences.
"STEM societies are often the founding authorities in their fields," said Louise Ristau, CAE, Executive Director of CESSE. "This SIG will offer a place for professionals to break down silos, share best practices, and explore new ways to strengthen the role of content in their organizations."
The Content SIG is designed to:
-
Facilitate ongoing discussions around content strategy, governance, and innovation
-
Promote collaboration between departments such as publishing, marketing, education, and events
-
Host webinars and invite industry experts to share insights and case studies
-
Help members stay informed about content-related trends including monetization and artificial intelligence
Shared Interest Groups provide CESSE members with dedicated communities to share knowledge, explore new ideas, and expand their leadership skills. Open to all CESSE members, SIGs support the organization’s mission by encouraging education, networking, and innovation across disciplines.
