Resort Amenities and Services
Just a few steps from your room and within sight of the Atlantic Ocean, two outdoor swimming pools provide exclusive retreats. Separate adult and family pools allow guests to choose the atmosphere of their choice for relaxation and fun. The beach concierge is pleased to arrange for beach chairs, umbrellas and towels. The Loggerhead Grill provides food and beverage service for guests on the beach, as well as those at the outdoor pools.
The indoor swimming pool offers the opportunity for guests to take a leisurely dip, a vigorous lap or participate in a Hydro Toning Fitness Class. The pool is open 7 days a week from 6:00am – 8pm. It is adults only from 6:00am -10am. The Sanctuary’s indoor and outdoor pools are available only to guests of the hotel.
The Sanctuary’s Fitness Center is open from 6am – 8:30pm daily, and offers a variety of cardiovascular and weight-training equipment. The fitness center also offers personal training, which can be used to enhance your regular workout or maintain your fitness levels throughout your visit. Business Services
The business center is located on the 1st floor of the east wing of The Sanctuary. We offer a complete remote office providing a document center, clerical services, office supplies, computer workstations, work alcoves, UPS & FedEx Shipping and Wi-Fi Access. The Business Center is available to guests of The Sanctuary at any hour of the day or night by utilizing your guest room key for admittance. Historical Sunset Cycle After a long day of fun in the sun, treat yourself to a gently paced biking tour with some on-foot exploration. Have you ever wondered where the name ‘Kiawah’ came from, or when Kiawah actually became an Island? This tour will explore the history, ecology, and beautiful views of this unique island. Timed with the sunset, we will be able to enjoy relaxing landscapes to escort us back to the Nature Center.

Fort Sumter Tours Fort Sumter…the Island Fort where the Civil War began. You will experience a relaxing 30 minute cruise through Charleston’s historic harbor out to Fort Sumter. The tour is fully narrated and explains many points of interest and historic significance. You will learn about the major events which led to the outbreak of America’s most bloody war. At Fort Sumter National Park, historians will provide detailed information about Fort Sumter and its pivotal role in the War between the States. There is a museum with fascinating exhibits and a small gift shop for your enjoyment. After one hour at the Fort, you will cruise back to port, enjoying panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean and Charleston’s bustling harbor.
