ACCESSE19 Brings 380 Attendees Together for Networking, Education, and Community

Check out these highlights and mark your calendar for next year's ACCESSE on July 21–23, 2020, in Detroit, MI.

Day 1: Association Basics, Partner Roundtable, The CESSE Member Mixer, and the Opening Reception

Attendees caught up with friends discussed challenges in the STEM society field, and enjoyed food and drinks from all over the city of Baltimore. At the sold-out and first-ever Association Basics training session, Matt Miller gave new professionals a full overview of association work.

Day 2: Innovation, Education, and Networking

The second day of ACCESSE19 kicked off with the Fun Run/Walk. The programming began with an excellent opening general session on leadership, change management, and how to best serve our membership as times and technology changes.

Attendees could choose from 16 concurrent sessions occurring at three points throughout the day as well as experiential learning sessions taking place offsite at Sagamore Spirit Distillery, the Animal Care and Rescue Center at the National Aquarium, and the Baltimore Museum of Art. At the end of the night, all attendees were invited to the historic USS Constellation for Afterglow.

Day 3: Professional Development, Inspiration, and Celebration

ACCESSE19 ended with two impactful general sessions on how to serve the lifelong learners among our membership and customer base and how to effectively handle conflict and ensure good communication and collaboration in the workplace. Attendees had their choice of 11 additional concurrent sessions covering a wide range of topics and serving all corners of association management. At IGNITE, the final session of the conference, presenters gave 5-minute TED-style talks on topics they were passionate about, from publishing to AI and DEI. To end this year's conference with a bang, we had the closing celebration at POWER PLANT LIVE!, a historic venue and home to a wide array of culinary delights.

Thank you, Attendees!

Thanks to the 380 partners and members who attended this year, we had a successful conference, complete with presentations from speakers on the cutting edge of their craft, impactful networking opportunities that connected STEM association professionals and partners from all over, and memorable events designed to help attendees refresh and renew so they can take everything they learned back to work with them.
Please remember to fill out evaluations and send us your feedback so we can continue to improve the event and provide programming and opportunities designed for you.
