CESSE Board of Directors Announces New Officer Updates

CESSE is pleased to announce two Board of Directors updates effective December 1, 2019–June 2020.
Chicago, IL (October 17, 2019)–The Council for Engineering and Scientific Society Executives (CESSE) is pleased to announce two Board of Directors updates effective December 1, 2019–June 2020:
- Nicole Boston, CAE (Society of Fire Protection Engineers), who currently serves as CESSE secretary/treasurer, will be elevated to the vice chair position as current Vice Chair, David Gammel, FASAE will be stepping down from his board position.
- The CESSE board unanimously selected Bob Chalker, CAE (NACE International) to serve as the secretary/treasurer.
Boston has served on the board since 2017 and was elected the secretary/treasurer in 2019. She is CEO of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE) and is responsible for the Society's wide-ranging and expanding technical and educational programs, strategic initiatives, finance, operations, and staff.
Chalker has served on the CESSE Board since 2016. He is CEO of NACE International and leads strategic planning, governance, operations management, business development, marketing, and financial management for the non-profit company. “It is my honor to serve with all of you and for the CESSE community,” says Chalker. “I believe we have the organization on a good path with many positive opportunities ahead.”
Outgoing Vice Chair David Gammel will be leaving his current CEO role and joining McKinley Advisors. Gammel will remain actively involved in planning for the ACCESSE20 conference on July 21-23, 2020 in Detroit, MI.
CESSE looks forward to the great work that Boston and Chalker will do for the society and thanks Gammel for his dedicated service.
