Subscribing to CESSE E-mail Lists (Members Only)
Peer-to-peer learning is the foundation of the CESSE culture. Members from more than 150 associations learn from one another through active listservs, periodic surveys, and meetings -- a mid-summer Annual Meeting, a mid-winter CEO meeting, and occasional meetings of active membership "tracks." CESSE has membership tracks in the following interest areas:
In this section, you can sign up for CESSE networking listservers -- automated e-mail discussion groups for interactive discussions with your peers. The CESSE e-mail lists are designed to improve communication among like-minded members, offer a forum for exchanging ideas and thoughts, and provide answers to questions and challenges faced by fellow members.
- Many of CESSE lists are open and will allow you to automatically subscribe directly without CESSE approval.
- Use the check boxes displayed to choose which list you would like to be apart of.
- When you are done click the 'Subscribe' button.
You will receive a confirmation notice and instructions on how to use the e-mail forum once you have been added to the list. Please keep these for future reference. Please keep in mind that you can send only plain-text e-mail to the listservers (i.e., no HTML text and no attachments). This restriction is enforced to prevent viruses from infiltrating the lists.
Sending a Message
- To reply to messages you receive from the listserve, be sure that the send-to address appears as "list name"@lists.CESSE.org.
- Avoid resending the entire message to which you are replying by cutting and pasting the relevant parts into your response.
- Using the reply button in your e-mail application will automatically send your response to the entire list.
- Identify yourself with a signature tag in all messages. Include your name, association, location, telephone number, and e-mail address.
